Unexpected Hiatus.

Hey Bloggers,

I haven't posted in a fairly long time. I'm really sorry about that.
I do however have a pitiful excuse for an explanation.
My boyfriend recently has gone out to Australia for 2 months. I've been really struggling to handle it and pretty much have not been able to concentrate on anything. I knew about this way before Christmas and even before he left I was still quite messed up about it. I am going to join him at the end of January but until then my moods can be fairly temperamental. Not a great excuse I know but when I get focused on being upset he's gone I don't really focus on anything else.
Hopefully I will be able to get back into blogging though. So definitely going to be more posts soon!
SO just a quick update and a PLAYLIST.
I really love this one. Mostly made up of TV soundtrack that I love.  Hope you enjoy it too :)

1. Love the way you lie (Part II) - Rihanna
2. He would have laughed - Deerhunter
3. Two Weeks - Grizzly Bear
4. First Day of my Life - Bright Eyes
5. Lost in the World - Kanye West & Bon Iver
6. A Promise - Broken Records
7. The Funeral - Band of Horses

NO! DAD!

I can't believe I'm up at this time! Since I started my opens at work my parents have taken to waking me up at roughly this time thinking I will be late for work EVERYDAY. It is very annoying since I only work this shift two days a week. Today, however is the real deal. And I did not want to get out of bed. It was very sad. Anyway have a nice morning sleeping in :)

No. People don't belong to people.

Paul Varjak: Holly, I'm in love with you.
Holly Golightly: So what?
Paul Varjak: So what? So plenty! I love you. You belong to me.
Holly Golightly: No. People don't belong to people.
Paul Varjak: Of course they do.
Holly Golightly: I'm not going to let anyone put me in a cage.

Haven't posted in a fairly long time considering the constant blogging last week. Been busy at work and verrry verrrrrry stressed. I think I'm getting back on track now though. I watched Breakfast At Tiffany's this morning as you can probably imagine. I love that film soooo MUCH. It makes me want a life like Holly Golightly's, she amazes me.

Had a very long day today doing not very much. I didn't go and see Harry Potter on Wednesday but today is my year anniversary with my boyfriend so I'm cooking a lovely tea of paella and then I think we are going to watch it :) quite exciting.

WHERE has the snow gone? It rained on Friday night and now I feel very sad with no snow. I wasn't even sick of it yet! Wasn't too slippy to drive on or anything! Please come back soon. THANKS

Workies

Back to work for me today after my exceptionally long weekend so crazy manic blogging should slowly die down. Actually terrified to drive to work today in the icy ice. Only working 6 hours today but I really don't want to go in. I hope its quiet. Hopefully I may find out about getting my time off as well for my early spring/late winter makeshift holiday PLEASE let me have three weeks off. Please.

Possibly won't blog again now until Thursday, unless it's just pictures,  as I am having a lovely day out with the BF tomorrow and he's finally taking me to see Harry Potter. You cannot measure my excitement. I really hope I don't have another freak out and ruin a nice day.

See below for beautiful documentation of finished non-disaster authentic macarons :)

Serious anticipation!

My actually finished product. ^^ I ACTUALLY made those !!

First Snow and Documented Evidence of Second Attempt Raspberry Macarons

Today we witnessed the first snow of this winter here. We are miles behind possibly every other place in the country and it may have only snowed for about 15 minutes but I am extremely proud of our light dusting. How long it will be before I am complaining about the weather is still undetermined.

Also, as yesterdays attempt to become Master of the French Macaron fell, sadly, flat on its face I decided to scrap what I had and start again. They aren't finished yet however I am hoping these will turn out MUCH better.

My beautiful mixture before I added the almond :(

Complete and utter mess after using possibly every bowl in the house.
